  • Developed for McDougal Littell's Next imprint, these two collections—entirely in Spanish—present short stories, poems, plays, essays, and excerpts from novels by classic and contemporary writers of Spain and Latin America. Writers include Miguel de Cervantes, Tirso de Molina, Miguel de Unamuno, Federico García Lorca, Jorge Luis Borges, Gabriel García Márquez, and Isabel Allende. Each anthology provides selections in multiple genres from seven centuries of Hispanic literature, has in-depth background information and study questions, and gives definitions of unfamiliar words or ideas. These collections were developed for upper-level courses, particularly Advanced Placement Spanish Literature.

  • Developed for McDougal Littell, Nextext Spanish Readers present individual collections devoted to five key writers of Spain and Lain American—Jorge Luis Borges, Federico García Lorca, Gabriel García Márquez, Ana María Matute, and Miguel de Unamuno. The readers—entirely in Spanish—offer in-depth study of the works; provide selections in multiple genres; give background on the author's time and major themes, biographical details, and a chronology; and give definitions/explanations of unfamiliar words or ideas. These collections were developed for upper-level courses, particularly Advanced Placement Spanish Literature.
