Tom Nieman, a former teacher, began Nieman Inc. after leaving Scott Foresman in 1998. During his 18 years at Scott Foresman, Tom worked as an editor, editorial VP, product manager, marketing director, and supplemental publisher. Today, he also volunteers as a reading teacher and tutor for English Language Learners and serves on the board of the Chicago International Charter Schools, responsible for 13 schools and nearly 8,400 students in the city of Chicago.
At Nieman, Tom leads an exceptional management team of seasoned professionals, including Barbara Flynn, Fitz Higgins, and Liz Semro. These veterans are complemented by a vibrant group of the brightest young minds in the industry.
